Deepika Padukone gets rave reviews for Lafangey Parindey

Deepika Padukone, usually in news for her hot bod and teary love tales, finally has something more to talk about. Seven films old and struggling to find her footing, Dips has finally hit bullseye with her latest flick Lafangey Parindey. Reviews are going gaga about her acting prowess and the leggy lass is raring to go.

"Deepika Padukone is more than competent. Despite an emotionally inscrutable part, she rivets your attention with her fluid body language and expressive eyes. She’s worth a dekko," said Khalid Mohammed.

While the movie has failed to excite the reviewers and many have even deemed it 'boring', Deepika's performance has been appreciated by all.

DeepikaGenerously drawing comparisons to yester-years female legends Nutan and Meena Kumari, Subhash K Jha, film critic said, "Deepika Padukone gives to the timless yet time-bound tale the kind of fluent grace and eloquent spin."

Deepika essays the role of spunky Pinky Palkar who loses her eye sight after an accident but is determined to fulfill her dream as a dancer on roller skates.

"Lafangey Parindey clearly belongs to Deepika Padukone, who suits the character and enacts it with such competence that it leaves you amazed. The pretty lass is only getting better with every film," said Taran Adarsh.

We wonder if Deepika's peformance is enough to make the BO tinkle.
