Amitabh Bachchan has a new daughter – Deepika Padukone

Amithabh Bachchan has son far made his appearances in ‘Koffee with Karan’ with either his wife and actress Jaya Bachchan or their son Abhishek or with co-star Shah Rukh Khan. But this time the buzz is that at KJo’s talk show Big B will be accompanied by daughter Shweta Nanda. While Shweta will be taking the couch with dad in the small screen, soon Deepika Padukone will be preparing to take the role of Big B’s daughter for the big screen.

According to sources of NDTV Movies, the ace director Prakhash Jha has zeroed down to Deepika Padukone to play the role of Mr. Bachchan’s daughter in the film ‘Aakarshan’. Previusly Jha was considering to auditon and take a new face for the role of Amitabh’s daughter but as the role was started to flesh out, the director could not think of anyone else but Padukone.

Soon the unit will move to Bhopal to start shooting for the film. It is the same place where Prakash Jha shot his last superhit film ‘Raajneeti’ Deepika’s ex-boyfriend Ranbir and alleged nemesis Katrina Kaif. One of the primary reasons for Jha casting Deepika in the role of Amitabh’s daughter is that she is tall and would match the iconic actor as his daughter. Well, one hopes that it will work a magic on-screen and an intesrting film that most of Jha’s films promises to be.
